ERCuSi-A SILICON BRONZE AWS A 5.27 CLASS ERCuSi-A

ERCuSi-A Silicon Bronze is primarily used for MIG, TIG, Plasma and Oxy-Acetylene welding or brazing on Steel and Copper Alloys.

A chemical analysis of Copper and Zinc as well as alloying elements of 3% Silicon and small amounts of Tin and Manganese produce welds with excellent mechanical properties.

High strength, ductile and sound welds are easily attained by using a neutral or slightly oxidizing flame (especially on Copper Alloys).

Keep the weld pool small to promote fast solidification and minimize cracking.

A high Boric acid brazing flux is required for Oxy-Acetylene brazing.

Silicon Bronze is ideal for plain and zinc coated thin Steel sheet metal.

Proper procedures will produce tensile strengths of 50,000 psi.
